Susan Schade is a graduate student from Benton who earned her bachelor’s degree in creative writing from the University of Central Arkansas. She’s now seeking a master’s in Mass Communication with an emphasis in journalism.
In addition to her studies, Susan works full time at Flex360 as a web service specialist. In that position, she helps put together and launch web sites.
Why did you choose to seek a graduate degree in Mass Communication?
“I want to better myself and be on the path to a better future. I also wanted to study another form of writing. Journalism seemed like a good fit.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
“I hope to be writing full-time. I enjoy planning and plotting stories, and I know a job where I can tell stories in the news will help me achieve that goal.”
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
“I am the youngest of two; I have an older sister. I live with my parents to help save money. I have two dogs, Toby and Annie.”
