Student Spotlight: Keito Alexander

Keito Alexander is Georgia native who has lived in Little Rock most of his life. He’s a junior Mass Communication major with an emphasis in media production.

Outside of his schoolwork, Keito does a variety of video work, including music videos for local artists and event coverage for American Jane Vintage. He recently was the lead videographer for the Main Street Food Truck Festival in Little Rock. Keito also does some video work for the university, including recording lectures and working on an upcoming Career Day video.

What do you like most about the Mass Communication program?
“I like that the teachers have real world experience and can put you in position to go further in your career.”

What subjects are you most passionate about?
“Film studies. I love seeing the history of film and all the different styles.”

What has been your favorite memory at UA Little Rock so far?
“Filming 3 shorts with my friends last semester: Halt, Flux and Black Fathoms.

What do you hope to do after graduation?
“I would like to direct and create films. I write and would love to help grow Arkansas as a staple in film, such as the Arkansas Cinema Society is doing.”
